There is obviously a difference between Mexican and Southwestern foods, although we often put them together and say, “We will be Mexicans.” The difference lies in the use of jalapeño peppers or green or red peppers. And then there’s the Tex-Mex, which is warmer than the Mexican. And the style of Santa Fe is usually the hottest because they use more and more hot peppers. Traveling in the southwestern part of the country? Get ready to answer “Red or green?” Ask for the sauce on the side if you think it’s too spicy. Do you want to look like an expert? The answer, “Christmas” (red and green).

We all know that pizza is still a staple of the American diet and “let’s get Chinese” is a chorus repeated in millions of households across the country, but “let Mexicans tonight” is still an option to the rest exceeds, as a range special, something adventurous, a little more festive. There are good reasons to think that dining in a good Mexican restaurant Palm Springs is something special, be it the South West, the Tex Mex, Santa Fe or just Mexicans. For our purposes, we call it “Mexican style”.

Most of all, most Mexican restaurants in Palm Springs are kept at a reasonable price. You know that places like Cantina and Grille near your house will not cost you an arm and a leg and the reward will be of great value and good taste. In these days of an economy in trouble and the need to save money, ordering Loco Charlie’s Mexican food at dinner is a good choice. You can also enjoy a selection of appetizers and be completely satisfied by almost “small changes”. And the most expensive item on the menu has a surprisingly low price.
